The place to be: The Roxy Beach House at the Quiksilver Pro New York contest in Long Beach. There are so many fun events that Roxy has planned; read up on that stuff at the Roxy Blog and see the event photos on their Facebook page. I am having a blast photographing their goings on and shooting basically what I see, during and in between the main event.
The waves have just picked up with clean conditions this morning and it’s only getting better from here. I am crossing my fingers in hopes of scoring a golden hour swim on Friday evening. I have never seen so many East Coasters and International humans so psyched, surfers and spectators alike. This is so cool.

About Ryan Struck
I am a self-taught Brooklyn based photographer. Earning a BA in History allowed me to investigate the things that have occurred in the world of which I knew nothing about. In that same spirit, photography allows me to be curious about the world and what surrounds us. I enjoy saving poignant moments through a visual medium, documenting lifestyle often fulfills this need quite nicely. I love what I do. When not at home shooting I can be found traveling in search of surf and inspiring natural lighting. My desire to capture images that help viewers imagine the instant the shutter clicked fuels my passion to combine beautiful light, people and places.
