Belmar’s Brendan Buckley
You may know Brendan Buckley from the Tuesday Tickle. Or. Maybe. You don’t. Either way here’s a few photos we made this summer while I stood awkwardly on a jam packed beach and Brendan surfed in front of said beach. I decided not to include the muscle bound gym bodied blokes and their bouncy dark haired dates as foreground. Instead, I gave them their very own space on the camera sensor. Additionally, the beaches close after this weekend. So make sure you get down to the shore and soak it up because after labor day there’s no point in going. Duh.
Visual Trips Over Shred Flicks
A short surf clip I managed to scrape together in between shooting still photographs from a trip to Teahupoo in Tahiti. Surfers include: Dillon Mincher, Fergal Smith, Nick Gibbs, Ryan Gallina, Nahuel Amalfitano, Rob Brown, Thorto, Jonathan Mincher, Josie Graves, PJ Raia. This isn’t the mind blowing huge surf you may be accustomed to seeing from the End of The Road, it’s more of a visual trip than shred flick. Enjoy.

Tropical Back Country
Earlier this week we took an overnight hiking/camping trip to one of the outer French Polynesian islands. That morning we surfed Teahupoo (below sea level) and by that evening we hiked atop a ridge (over 1200 feet) to settle in for the night. Making it just as night fell, sweat soaked and stoked. The moon, nearly full, was the only light needed to set up camp. We laid our heads down and looked skyward. A single shooting star sighted before falling fast asleep, a small palm’s rustle kept deep slumber at bay. We awoke in the predawn hours and watched the sun come up over the surrounding valley.
