Food Photography – New York City

I was so happy to be shooting more food for Il Mulino in November. This time it was at their 60th Street location in Manhattan. Aside from the fact that Drake raps about the joint in his song “Poundcake” with Jay-Z, Il Mulino serves up some great Italian food. And yes I do get to enjoy a bit of it while I work, however, most cases the food is zipping by. You only have so much time to photograph hot food before its NOT ready for its close up. Keep an eye on our next post as I want to share the photos I captured in the street once we were wrapped. No food, but some fun New York street scenes. For now, feast your eyes!

About Ryan Struck

I am a self-taught Brooklyn based photographer. Earning a BA in History allowed me to investigate the things that have occurred in the world of which I knew nothing about. In that same spirit, photography allows me to be curious about the world and what surrounds us. I enjoy saving poignant moments through a visual medium, documenting lifestyle often fulfills this need quite nicely. I love what I do. When not at home shooting I can be found traveling in search of surf and inspiring natural lighting. My desire to capture images that help viewers imagine the instant the shutter clicked fuels my passion to combine beautiful light, people and places.
