About Ryan Struck

I am a self-taught Brooklyn based photographer. Earning a BA in History allowed me to investigate the things that have occurred in the world of which I knew nothing about. In that same spirit, photography allows me to be curious about the world and what surrounds us. I enjoy saving poignant moments through a visual medium, documenting lifestyle often fulfills this need quite nicely. I love what I do. When not at home shooting I can be found traveling in search of surf and inspiring natural lighting. My desire to capture images that help viewers imagine the instant the shutter clicked fuels my passion to combine beautiful light, people and places.

    struckie-
NICE job with the ‘Inertia” portfolio!
I’m glad to see you fast tracking into the ranks of some very talented NJ surf photog’s with a very creative eye and not just for standard, telephoto surf action imageryfrom the beach ( zzzzzz….. ).
plus i just always love seeing someone like yours take on my old stomping grounds with new perspectives and vision or just capturing some classic action shots in the old fashion way by just nailing the decisive moment which you are doing very well for sure!
any way- just a quick shout out from one dirty jerzyian surf photog to another and, most importantly, a big thanks for letting us use your imagery- esm and http://www.easternsurf.com, would not be as good or complete without your invaluable input!
    shoot to kill,
    mezzy
